Someone remind me to bring more cash next time. I was out before the middle of the day. Crimped my raffle chances. I was not ready for the vendors to be selling (if I remember correctly they have not sold at the show before).

Still a great event, and it got better. And I like Bern's style! Adding the girls to the stage was nice. They need to practice throwing shirts some.

They also need pratice on how Not to throw bottles of Slick at peoples heads.

One guy that was 2 rows in front of me beaned in the head. The neck of the bottle cracked. bounced off another guy, missed my head and landed on the kid that was standing next to me. he was coverd in the stuff. he was wearing a wht hoodie and the solution was blue..

Bern, Are you reading this? Please no more throwing of hard objects..

I was the guy who got tagged in the head! I saw Holga look right at me, wind up, and INCOMING!!!
I had my hands up ready to catch it but the guy in front of me tipped the bottle every so slightly. I knew this was going to be bad news so I put my head down so as to not get hit in the face, got TAGGED on the top of the head.

Well it seems the consensus is that Burn has trouble calling numbers (but he got mine right), Burn has trouble passing out items from the stage (I paid him good money to get rid of the a/t turbo guy, blew it again Burn), Burn has good taste picking girls but they can't throw for **** (you don't pick girls for their throwing ability, even an old fart like me knows that) and that this was one of the best Seven Stocks. Thanks again to all the SoCal members that worked on this years event.

Bern, get me her contact information and I'd be more than happy to help her improve her throwing arm. Thanks.

I was only there for a about a 1/2 hour because I had to leave for work by 10, but it was a great turnout despite the weather.

Just shows you how dedicated the rotary gear heads are. Great group of vendors. Hoped they made lots of money to make it worth while for them to come back next year. I got a couple SSX t-shirts to help out.

Thanks Mazda for hosting the event.

It was great to meet everyone this weekend. It was a great event. I don't think I've ever been somewhere where there was so many great Rotary people in one place. Not just the owners but Speedsource, and the Crew that came over from Japan, all the racing and engine building legends. And the guys like Ray, Hymee and Jeff that are pushing the envelope for us all on their own.

Thanks a lot to the Solcal group, Bern and Mazda for putting on a great weekend!

Zoom44: it would have been pretty cool if we walked away with matching 40th anniversary hoods eh?

any one got pics of the hoods? Mazmart should have one - at least when the red one arrives in Atlanta. you know- you could probably buy that one from paul....
