Guys/Gals, I'd like to get a feel for how many of you would be into Karting at Dromo1(indoor). We're billing this as Mazda vs. Rotary Tuners vs. Factory Drivers vs. SoCal vs. out of town clubs in an endurance type race. We'll be putting a cap on the number of participants and we'll have Dromo1 exclusively to ourselves. Price and seat time per person have not been determined. We really need to see/hear some enthusiasm ans support. We would especially like to hear what our out of town visitors have to say. TIA!

As I stated price has yet to be determined. Dromo1 has a wide range of possibilities for us but it will in large be determined on the committment by us Rotarheads. I have about 30 plus committed not but would really like to see more. Sponsorship to help offset event costs isn't out of the question and is being looked at.
Location? Location is Dromo1 Really.. Dromo1 is located in the City of Orange just off Katella and Main. That puts it about 15-20 minutes from Mazda R&D.
Time? Tentative time is 6pm.

Just to give everyone an idea of were prices will head. Typically Dromo1 charges $20 M-F 1:30-5:30, evening and weekends is $25. Condsider the facts that we'll be running an endurance race, after 6, exclusive use of Dromo1 at a bit more than double the laps. Included in the final price will be use of a Helmet, Sparco Race Suit, Head Sock, gloves and time slip.
Here's your chance at bragging rights against some of the best!

sounds like a lot of fun. an endurance type of race? sounds REAL fun. i'd totatlly be interested, esp if it's not too expensive. however, i want to help out at sevenstock so i'm not 100% sure what the volunteer schedule would be like...

As for Friday evening you can expect the cost to be anywhere from $50-80. Large difference but until I see more interest and get solid numbers I'm not in a position to negotiate in our favor. Look at it this way.. you'll be up and close with Mazda brass, some factory racers, tuners and get bragging rights against your fellow rotorhead. We've opened this up to everyone but if the interest is not there it will be an invite only affair. Get the word out to people you know are coming to SS7 and point them to this thread. Let's hear it folks

Update: We billed this event as SoCal RX Club vs. Mazda vs. Factory Drivers vs. other Regional clubs. We aimed this primarily at out of town folks as an additional activity to Sevenstock. Unfortunately we are cancelling this as billed.
First, interest/support from out of towners just hasn't been there. Second, the days schedule would have proven difficult for some.
However, we will still organize a meet and greet at Dromo1. I'll post a meeting time in the coming weeks. Please check back soon. Thanks to all that showed interest in the enduro.
