Quite a few commented on it, but nothing official. But I have no problem with that at all. I had a fantastic time and got plenty of non-tangible rewards and enjoyment, plus a die-cast RX-8 (not white the only color they didn't have, NG is what I picked) and each of the three books (RX-8, RX-7, and MX-5)
Just being at the BHR booth alone was awesome!
Well, we are just east of Sacremento at our overnight, free of charge Just in time too, I doubt I would have been able to drive much farther at all. Completely exhausted. (I just had to fix typos 9 times in those 2 words)
Picked up my sister alot farther north than I thought, in Mission Hills(?), got down to PCH via Topanga Canyon Blvd, which I first drove in a rental Eclipse Spyder about 2 years ago, and was glad to do it in my own car. My sister was egging me on for more lateral G, so that was completely unexpected. She even fell asleep with me hitting PCH curves at ~6/10th later on!
The drive up the coast was fantastic. Lots of fog early, but it cleared out eventually, and ~400 pictures my sister was snapping from the passenger seat. Closing in on 1,000 pictures for the total trip, if not over that mark yet.
My mileage for doing almost an entire tank on PCH? The curvy fun part where it splits off from the 101, driving ~6-7/10ths, since it's unfamiliar roads, almost all in 2nd and 3rd gear.
18.39 mpg.
Nay-sayers can go DIAF.
Off to pass out. Well, not off. I'm sitting on the bed, passing out anyway...

RI misses you so much they passed a new tax on miles driven outside state lines by any vehicle registered in state.
RI can't wait to see you and your wallet back in town!

OH MAH GAWDDDDDDD!
THESE ROADS ARE AWESOME!
No seriously, its like a 150 mile autocross course where every turn has beneficial camber.
my sister is complaining when we catch other cars, thanking them with a wave when they pull over, giggling. with glee when we can see a quarter mile ahead, because she knows i will open it up more.
Having the time of my life!
