Series II's with aftermarket Wheel Pics?
Wow, you would never get away with those wheels/tyres sticking out of the fenders in Australia, instant police defect notice...let alone what it will do in time to diff/axles and wheel bearings...etc.
Looks good though.

Is there anyone not doing stretched tires? Maybe it's me but it looks really bad I think. I never have liked it. I rather have slightly bulging sidewalls. Or, straight up and down. Not stretched to fit the wheel. I really don't get that look at all.
I agree. My wheels should be in next week and with any luck my suspension the week after. Ill post up a couple pics. Im gunna have some chunky rubber under it
I guess I'm more old school. Plus the bulging tires are more along what you see on race cars so it makes the car look more "racey" to me. Not sure that's the right word to use, but I think you get my idea. I did watch a guy trash a rim on an Audi with stretched tires once at an autox when I lived in IL. We kept hearing scraping noise and thought it was his "hella flush" wheels rubbing in the corners. Well, it was actually the lips scraping on the pavement. Tore the hell out of his very expensive rims. I thought it was a bit funny.
/\ Like your Wheels mate...
Just a question, how do you like your Sunroof Dome thing, I guess you have the OE Mazda installed Sunroof? like mine.
Does the Dome/Deflector make any wind noise and what are it's benefits..
Thanks..
Ash

Ash,
The dome benefits:
Little to no wind noise
Little to no wind in cabin
No rain gets in when raining if I'm on the hwy
Disadvantages:
When the sun roof is wet, say after it rains...it doesn't dry very quickly because the wind is deflected over the wet glass.
Hi, I have committed the (in some people's eyes) near-unforgivable sin of putting 20" wheels on my R3, ... and (predictably) I just love them
The car handles better, as the Ultraleggera's are lighter than my R3 wheels with Eibach spacers, and gives better feel.
Tyres are Dunlop Sport Maxx GT 245/30/20.
I posted originally in the S1 section. Oops.

My stock wheels with 245/40-18 (my Raptis WR-1 is 24.69 lbs new) tires weighed in at 46lbs so that means the stock wheels weigh 21lbs. Let me find the pics. But honestly that is all pointless anyway since tire weights of the same size vary considerably.

Next tires will be Continental Extreme Contact DW for a total weight of 38#.
