Due for new brakes question and help.
So I finally got my car back from the shop and they said I'm due for some new brakes soon. Which I agree since I can tell it take long for my car to slow to stop. The one I have in mind and set on are the hawks hps. Now the question I have would it be a good idea to also get new rotors while I'm at it? What I'm looking at for my r3 is the EBC-GD or Ultima usr, stoptech, and powerslot....money is not a factor just trying to figure out what would be a better buy. Also I was looking to get new. Calipers amd I found the G2...does anyone here have them? If you guys can help me out so I don't buy cap products... Thx

Your rotors shoul be replace with the new pads, its up to you for price range you are ready to pay, Stock disk are great, a bit pricey, and unless you have problems with your calipers, I dont see a reason to replace them, if they have been well maintained, maybe just replacing your brake fluid would not be a bad idea

How many miles on your R3? There is no need for new rotors unless you've driven the **** out of it, have had sever brake issues, or have gouged the rotors to hell and back.
There is no reason at all to replace a caliper unless it's stuck and un-rebuildable (highly unlikely).
Take your rotors and have them turned at your local parts store. If they are magically below minimum thickness replace them. Centric makes great OEM replacements. Slotted and anything else is just for looks and wearing out pads faster.
HPS are fine. They're a semi-aggressive street pad. I use them as my daily pads. If you want less dust go with Hawk Ceramics.

Funny thing is I only have around 29.5k on the car. Everthing seems fine besides that I need new brakes. The only reason I was thinking about getting new calipers and rotors was mainly for looks. Plus it doesn't hurt to get new ones for better braking and help out with all that dust. With that in mind what would you guys suggest?

If you didn't want to go that route I would suggest going with the ceramics and getting the rotors turned if they still had enough life in them. But at the cost of what some shops charge to take them off, turn them, and reinstall you may as well buy new rotors.
RacingBrake also has other options in terms of 1 piece rotors Open slot, slotted and so forth.
We stock all of the above items (pads and rotors) so let me know if you have any other questions.

I have the full Racing Brake BBK on my R3, and it really is very good. Braking is improved over stock, particularly if you're doing a lot of it, and interestingly ride quality improves too ... Presumably due to the reduction in unsprung weight? They also look nice.
