Stupid Diff Q, since it can't be asked in B@W

Stupid Q, can the diff cover be removed while in the car? Last year I hit a rock at about 60 and hit the diff driver ear, started leaking after that, not bad, just a subtle drip, long story, low car life. Just looking to see if the seal was broken, hopefully not a cracked diff or cover.

New post since I can't ask my B@W friends in that thread.....

Mod removed the post because it was a tech question...
Did not want to make a new post for a simple question, but here it is, lol

That's dumb, a mod should not have removed your post. We ask quick car questions all the time in there. I demand justice.

To answer your question you can but I'm not sure about s2

skip to 6:35 if it doesn't start then

Thanks Sonic, looks to be possible, I'll try to get it done next weekend and see how bad it is. I looked while I was changing the oil Saturday and it looks pretty tight there, wanted to make sure there was enough clearance to get the cover out. Will try to record and post it.

Looking at it again, looks like he had to grind the fins to slide the cover off, which it's what I was worried about.....
