Shutting Car Off Squeek

Anyone else get that? I have been noticing it a bit more frequently lately. Not sure if it is related to it getting warmer out, but lately when I shut off my car after pulling it to the garage, it lets off a squeek as the motor comes to a rest.

if you talking about the buzz-buzz sound 2 seconds after you turning the engine of, its the sound of the E-OMP I think.
a video would help.

Just an easy quick one which "may" fix it, gets some liquid soap and put on your finger and rub on the alternator VVVVV area of Belt, start car for a minute and stop, belt may just have a squeek (dry) or be over-tight??

Don't use oil..

Worth a try..

It's really just a loud high pitched chirp. Not really video worthy, IMO. You'll def. recognize the noise if it ever starts happening.

Yea I mean I will grab a video when I get home from work, but like LordET said ... high pitched squeek ... litterally sounds like the car is going "eek" when you turn off the ignition ...

Maybe the car is just sad to be shut off lolz

It happens so random. I'd say once a month or something for me. It's probably the belt for the AC.

Anyone tried soft soap or liquid soap on inside of the AC/Alternator/Water Pump/E-Shaft Belt yet?

Does it stop the squeak??

I don't have it yet..so I don't know.

Liquid Soap used to fix the old squeaky single V thick Belts.

Belt Dressing is a REALLY bad Idea..."Belt Dressing" FFS..

Never heard of Belt Dressing, but then again it is the US...a product for EVERYTHING..no offence.

WHY do you think soap is a bad idea???,

It has been done for the past 40 years and all of a sudden some new club member rattles off that it is bad...you ****!.

You ONLY put a very small amount, VERY SMALL, a spit or less.

You PUT a little bit on your FINGER and Wipe it UNDER the Belt and start car.

You DON'T Spray anything else...

Just like you would do with Belt Dressing...FFS..

Googled 'belt dressing', OMG, MORONS who DROWN the ******* belt with Dressing..

What are you doing Eating a Salad....BELT DRESSING...FFS..BELT DRESSING..I have heard it all...

What next *** CLEANING SPRAY!!!

BTW, Nube, I never said this will fix the issue but worth a try...F O

if you dont know what belt dressing is, I have to question how old you are
though, I would trade my car in to ride around on kangaroos anyday, too

as to your question, is belt dressing beneficial?
the answer, it's just as beneficial as putting soap on your A/C belt

now, belt dressing doesnt magically summon unicorns to fix all the cracks in your belt
which is what most idiots who use it expect.

if your belt is squeaking, replace the belt or reseal the pulley if needed

Save the soap for washing your hands, or in your case, maybe you might need some to wash your mouth.

^^

I question YOUR age sir .... if you were old enough to use belt dressing properly, you would realize that it is notorious for causing belt breakage during significant usage. Take a good moment, back away from the keyboard, and take a few deep breaths ... belts require some slip so that they can handle certain levels of torque without shearing or snapping. Belt dressing / Belt grease dries up belts, and on top of that, laces your engine bay in ****. Relax yourself, log out, log in again, and get your head out your ***.

I get the same chirp, only my car does it on start up. I was thinking it was the AC clutch engaging causing a slip of the belt but I might be wrong.
