update:
It's been a week since Mazda replaced my collapsed motor/tranny mounts under warranty and since then the car has not popped out of 3rd gear once, it use to be a almost daily occurrence!. They said this may be the issue with some. Time will tell.

I have a 2009 R3 with just over 24,000 km on it. I have had it since new and it started popping out of 3rd gear about a month ago. Oddly enough, this started happening within days of having may MT fluid changed, so part of me wonders whether this is related.

In my case, I have had this happen 6 times and it usually occurs when I get off the gas and then back on; just as I start to get back on the gas it pops into neutral.

I took this to Mazda along with the 3-4 adjustment procedure that is posted here, but the tech looked at me cross-eyed and said that he had no idea what this was.

I'm going to switch to the Redline MT90 fluid to see if that fixes things. If not, I will find a place that works on Miatas and get it addressed there.

Which Mazda dealership acknowledged that there was a problem? I would love to talk to someone there to get my issue resolved.
