Dashhawk for Series II?
Anyone know if the Dashhawk will work with Series II? The Dashhawk website doesn't list 2009+ RX-8. Their FAQ has something I can check on the port in my car to see if it will *probably* work, but that's not good enough for me to pay the money for the thing. I believe it won't do oil temperature, anyway, which makes it only partially useful to me.

I cant speak for Dashhawk...but i can for Scanguage II, and it works on S2. They both use OBDII connection to read data from the car. I would be inclined to say that the Dashhawk probably works fine. All it does is read data off the bus right? You could always just call or email them too. That is what I would do if i wasnt just willing to roll the dice and hope it works. Let us know.

Looks like it working is not really an issue. All newer cars will conform to the standard. However, Dashhawk development and support seem to have stopped. They still sell it, but nothing new is happening. Based on their forums, it looks like the guy who was developing it has left the company.
It doesn't really matter to me. After doing some research I think I would be more likely to use one of the Wi-Fi or Bluetooth OBD-II transmitters with software for an iPad or Android phone.

I really like the OT-2 wideband bundle:

The question is just which will be the best choice at the time I'm ready to buy.
