Hey Paimon...love your work..mate!
Just one thing (maybe more) I thought of with your testing, have you used your RxDuino while actually driving??..most of your vids are while your S2 car is stationary or not moving (from what I can see)
Anyway my/the RHD S2 appears to have the exact same layout on the Right Side of Steering Wheel Cruise Control Switches, understand you are using the Cancel, On/Off, and RES+ BUTTONS.
BUT!, what happens IF your are using the Cruise Control and want to use the RxDuino?..
Will you be able to use both at the same time, or if not, what might happen if you decide to use CC while RxDuino is active or ON?...I guess if RxDuino is connected to OBD II and OFF using the CC will be as normal?.
Anyway I just thought or wanted to know IF you have road tested with CC ON and then turned on RXDuino...what actually happens to LED display and or CC, no damage?, CELS, or CC problems?.
Just a side note of interest, our (my) RHD Instrument Cluster is the same layout as LHD like Digital Speedo- RPM it's 3 red LED bars, Temp on Left, Fuel level on Right, BUT, the dazzling Warning Lights in the smaller two outer pods are opposite to your LHD!?

Lets see if I can describe this in a simple way without making it too confusing. Remember, The key design points that I had for the RxDuino were:
1. Do not modify any signals on the bus
2. Do not modify any hardware in the car
Basically, think of the RxDuino as a "listener". It sits there and listens to the information being passed on the bus, and requests data depending on what mode you have the device on. For example, lets say you are driving your car, and you press (+)Accel, the RxDuino basically goes "is cruise control on/set?", if yes, then "oh, ok then, i wont do anything". However, if CC is not set, then the RxDuino goes "ok, so he pressed (+), and CC is off, sweet, lets flip to the next monitor and display the info". Mind you that pressing (+) when CC is off naturally doesn't do anything anyway, so thats why it was a great button to use.
Again, following the model, the beauty of this device is that we dont need to modify any wires or anything in the car, no splicing, no cutting, nothing. Just plug into OBD2 and have fun. No CEL's are thrown because I do not modify anything on the bus. Essentially, the car doesn't even know that there is an additional device.

Btw I will get more videos, unfortunately I didn't want to play games with driving and recording lol, i tried a few pages back with the wheel speed monitor, but it was quite a task.

This morning I got into my car and saw the TPMS light come on, even though my tires looked fine upon visual inspection, and then I though : "Where's that damm Rxduino when you need it?!"

OK, what I also failed to ask, as you know while driving and on CC the Clutch and Brake switch will also 'cancel' CC, so again I guess these pedal switches wont interfere with a 'listening' or on RxDuino ..
So basically if CC is on and then you put your foot on the brake pedal the RxDuino will come on (if plugged into OBD)?, and then if I hit CC Resume it will go OFF.
I am not suggesting that you have not looked at this during your development...
EDIT:...Also note you are looking into the Unit Builds, have you thought of offering either a Right or Left 90 degree Plug-Wire to OBD II Port (LHD and RHD S2's).
Just thinking driving with a straight connector to OBD port would be VERY annoying hanging down around my legs/knees, or a loop hanging there..

Had a few issues with the initial rev, so I had to make some updates. Also the last picture i had up had a few hidden layers so I fixed that in the image as well.

I am driving along, and have my RxDuino monitor Rpm's....
I decide i want to now look at my AFR...
- i press (+) until i get to the AFR reading
I decide i now want to use CC...
- i turn on CC and press the (set) button
- - The RxDuino continues to display the AFR readings on the screen
- - The + / - no longer control the RxDuino, they control the CC as expected
You now decide you are done with CC, so you press cancel/the clutch/the brake
- - The RxDuino still hasn't changed its display, but now you can control it via the CC buttons.
I guess I am not doing a good job of explaining so I apologize. I will be sure to get some videos real soon to describe all of this

Have you thought of offering either a Right or Left 90 degree Plug-Wire to OBD II Port (LHD and RHD S2's).

And as far as the cable goes, yes, I plan on getting some nice slim obd2 cables made so that the cable isn't in the way of your leg

Very nice work. I always love an innovative interface, especially as a modification for an existing product. Your board is looking nice. This thread is one of the most fun for me to read and look forward to all the updates!

Hehe I am trying. Dont forget, once the board is fabricated I will need to place all of the components myself so each order will be specially made and built by hand. I promise to try and get them done as fast as possible.

Oh, no one should doubt how hard you are working. Its those board makers I have my doubts about. How long does it take to make a few PCBs?
Tell them if it gets much later, you will have to rename your device the iRXDuino4s and you will charge them for changes to packaging.

fyi I just got shipping confirmation from the fab shop. I will post some updates/pics when the chip gets in. Just a heads up, this project may stall out for the next few weeks 
. I am currently in the process of moving into a condo so theres lots of work to be done there.

FYI, here is the latest design of the Console application
I actually recoded it from Java to C#, shouldn't mean much to anyone, but it allows me to build a much smaller application and guarantee support for Windows and its communication ports. The application will also have a nifty feature that checks for updates when you launch by checking information on my server, and will let you know if an update is available, this way you will always be kept up to date. It will also have a few functions to save the logs from the device and email them to me incase you are having any issues, this way I can debug what is going on internally to a degree.
