RxDuino: Development Chat

Thanks guys. There will be another group buy in the future, but at the moment I am dedicating my time to getting all the kinks worked out for the users that have already purchased one. If and when a future group buy starts, this is where it will be posted. Stay tuned.

Paimon, can you help with me setting the clock? When I get into clock mode, I can't seem to change anything.
I haven't messed with it much, but I get something like
U:H D:R ?:0
Can you decipher? Hitting up and down only makes the display blink. I am going insane after the time change, it's really screwing me up when I am driving.
I don't want to reinstall my stock radio to fix this.
EDIT: I just realized I am on a very old firmware. Updated it this morning so I was probably groggy. I'll try again in the morning, but can you let me know the steps anyway?

Hey bud, sorry i totally missed this. Yea get on the new firmware as it will have a more refined way of setting the clock. When you get to the clock screen, you can use the cruise control up and down to set the clock on the rxduino display (when you first switch to clock mode, the rxd will show you "12:00"). Once you have set th rxd to the desired time, hold down "Cancel" and it will set the clock in the car. Shoot me a note at my email (my user id here @gmail.com) if you are having trouble. I believe bhammer tried and confirmed that this new clock method works.
When I exhaust them - I'll let you know. I am surprised at how much stable the later firmwares are. Once I set the clock, I'm finally going to permanently mount this bastage in my car.

Any chance to make a firmware solely dedicated to changing time? (Of course, I have no idea how much work this would be for you.)
I've already gotten used to having the wrong time in the car, so it's not that big a deal I guess.

Ugh, don't know what's special about mine, but I can't get any response when I try to change the time.

Am I correct in saying that you're not creating any more of these units at the time being paimon? I'm desperately looking to get hold of one and would love to purchase one from you.
Kind Regards

Hey paimon.soror,
Hopefully your thread watching is still active on this and your email works for it, but... mind posting the source for all of this (including the PCB fab schematics and everything else) on Github? Your website's domain got taken over since you didn't renew the domain, so obviously the links no longer work.
For everyone else, this is likely not the route to go anymore... I'm sure there are other retail solutions that will get you what you want without going this route, but this route does have some advantages as well as good information for those of us doing our own solutions as software engineers and developers. Even using the OBDLink SX + Android Car Stereo + Torque + Home Assistant / Tasker provides infinitely more options and flexibility without hardware/firmware changes, but the work done here is amazing and there are still things that can be reused for niche, custom hardware solutions.
Here's to hoping for it soon!
