Are rear axles sealed & sold as a unit??
I just had look under my 2005 and the LEFT REAR AXLE (OUTSIDE SEAL ) is beginning to slowly weep. Nothing major but its getting wet around the seal and will eventually have to be replaced. My dealer says the entire axle is sold as a complete sealed unit (both ends) and you cannot simply replace the worn seals on either side. Since the left side ( which mine is) is more expensive than the right , any thought on how I can save money over an entire Axle replacement would be welcome. Thanks in advance for advice.

seems like he means the boot is leaking grease. im sure you could replace the boot but i dont know where you would find one thats meant for it.. still gotta take the axle out to do it so maybe just loosen the boot, clean, retighten and it wont be a problem..
do you hear anything making noise there? i actually bent an axle one time no idea how but it was not fun to replace just it
