R3 Recaro height issue

Is there any way to get a height adjustable base on the R3 recaros, or otherwise gain a couple extra inches of height on the seat? I've contacted Recaro and they informed me that they build the seats to Mazda's spec, so no luck there.

Do the seats on the standard Rx8 have manual height adjustment, and is it part of the seat base, or the mounting bracket..?

any other ideas..?

...the perils of having a short wife. She ain't gonna get any taller, and I'm determined to have her be able to comfortably drive this thing.

ha ha yeah. not sure but non-recaros's can adjust the seat height (front and back) with the turn ***/auto up/down on the side of the seat. wouldn't be surprise though if recaros don't have that though.

yeah...just get her a pillow to sit on or something. i appreciate the love of your wife, but i don't let my gf drive my car, and it has nothing to do with seat height :P

how about getting a spacer or some washers to bolt between the seat and the bracket to lift it? might even need to get longer bolts??

I've gotten used 2 having the low Recaro seats on the R3, but I'd still like 2 move up just a little bit on the seat. Yes, I'm a short guy... Lol. Don't know what 2 do though.
