Corbeau Evolution X installation
I had these in a Vette and loved them. Going to do it in my R3.
- based on the published dimensions it looks like they will fit.
- any forum vendors sell these? doesn't look like it.
- Any experience with the cheap ebay sliders?
- Found this thread saying a circuit is required to retain SRS functionality. True?

From Mazda Maniac:
"You must retain the factory seatbelt buckle from the stock seat. If you are using a harness instead of the OE belt, you must retain the assembly with the buckle inserted into the latch or construct a similar circuit since it is a pair of proximity sensors, not a pair of hard switches.
Without these engaged, not only will the SAS system return a failure, but the mechanical latches that constitute the "B" pillar will not latch and the structural rigidity of the car will be compromised."
Anyone else have experience with this? If possible I'd rather retain airbag functionality

I am too big for the R3 Recaros... 6'3" 215lbs; had these seats in a Vette (C5 seats suck) and they were great. I'll probably save the Recaros for when it's time to sell the R3.

Driver's side looking sexy. Fit PERFECT. Amazing how different these seats feel, while they look so similar side by side. The measurements are quite similar but the bolsters are at a winder angle and not as tall. I sit about 1/2" lower (excellent!)
No lights with a 2ohm resistor across the airbag connector. Seats+brackets are 2lbs less than the Recaros, which is amazing for the Recaros, since they have adjustments and airbags and crap in them as well!
Passenger side has been a bitch. Seat rail was way far off center, placed it in interference with the door. Re-drilled the bracket and shimmed the seat a bit, it fits nicely now. Waiting on 192kohm resistors for the weight sensors, hopefully that will eliminate lights from this side.
