Question Newbie Alert: Can the Recaro's on an R3 be adjusted

Hi I'm a newbie on this Forum but have been viewing the Forums for quite a few years now.

I just got hold of an amazing R3 in Red with just 15k km on the clock. I'm having the car professionally detailed over the weekend to give it the look 'she' deserves

The problem i'm facing is that after owning an 04' 8, the Recaro's on this one are a little too snug, which is just increasing the wear 'n' tear on the leather bound section of the seats. The guy from whom I got the car insists that the seats are adjustable from the back, as all one has to do is unzip the back and adjust the cushioning

As i haven't got the foggiest idea what to do, I thought that I'd try the 'experienced' ones over here. Mind you, I have searched the forums, and have not come across anything regarding Recaro Seat Adjustment/s.

Hoping for a solution to the problem !

Lose weight.

Seriously now, take it to a upholstery shop and see if they can adjust them. I think the bottom covers are going to be incorrectly fitted if they can move.

I know when I took out an R3 on a test drive it was tight. I think it was fitted for a 5'4" Japanese ***, not us wide body Americans.

Cheers, believe me, the weight ain't the issue here :-)

I must point out here that such cars in Pakistan are without any dealer/manufacturer support, as the only way of getting such cars in the country is through Imports only.

But thanks you for the suggestion !

Yeah well from one R3 owner to another, the front seat backs do have zippers, have you tried them out ?
