Bluetooth rarely works

Are there any known issues with OEM bluetooth working intermittently?

When I press the button on the wheel nothing happens. I tried numerous battery disconnects. I removed the radio to make sure the harness wasn't hacked up by a previous owner. Yesterday I got my clutch replaced and it started working on the way there. They disconnected the battery and now it doesn't work again.

Any ideas?

I guess my next step is to check the wiring to the steering wheel then try a new HU.

Mine pretty much only connects when I force the connection from the phone. Sometimes it takes more than one try. Sometimes it won't do it at all. Bluetooth is not one of this car's best features.

I never got to connect the phone. You have to press the button to do the initial pairing but the button does nothing. When I pressed it and it worked yesterday I thought I'd be able to mess with it when I get home, but the mechanic disconnected the battery and now I get nothing again.

My S2 same issue - rarely perhaps twice a month - my car will not automatically connect with my phone. I've had to shut off the car to get the automatic connection to work (and I've tried to cycle BT and power on my phone to no avail).

However my Mazda 2010 GT is more reliable than any Ford product I've driven as rental cars. Sync sux.

Just curious, are there saved phones on the BT? I had that issue and deleted all the saved phones (from the previous owner) and reconnected my and havent had an issue since. In fact, the "Hey Siri" works through the BT also.

No saved phones. I've never even connected a phone because you have to press the bluetooth button to connect a phone, and the button does nothing.

I have the same problem as well, and I think it is the Handsfree Link / Bluetooth module that is dying... will probably need to replace that. But I guess for the time being it is not too big of an urgency to do so...

Yeah I think I've given up on the radio. Trying to decide between grabbing a used stocker or aftermarket.
