you guys are totally overthinking it. Just put the same stuff from the S1 into an S2, there, problem solved.

It has not been 3 years, but I have not had time to even try to keep up lately.

That might change soon. Keep your eye on this thread.

If the S2 could get this and a proper engine tuning solution, I might be able to justify driving my 8 despite the insane cost of gas.

Its not a question of if anymore but when. Its looking like mid to late summer before the kit will be available with a 2.1 Kenny Bell instead of the old 1.7. As for management theres a few options for stand alone, a flash of some sort shouldnt be far off.

So is Pettit working on a flash tuner?

And given the statement you made in another thread:

Is there still going to be an S2 SC kit available from Pettit at some point?

Haven't had the chance to update. Im still working on this but have been delayed ALOT due to family dutys. I had to put off work due to taking care of my son and doing work around the house. I should be back on it full steam ahead when it starts getting cold. Ive been in constant contact with Cam and we have just about everything sorted out for S1 and S2, we just have to make the minor changes to the kit including pulley size to bring the boost down to a more conservative number.

I am very interested in this Kit, I got to take Candy's old car for a spin last weekend and LOVED the power the S/C made.

Moon Assad 3 questions:

How far off do you think you are from having this kit ready for S2 owners?

Have you sourced a replacement Super Charger?

You are able to have a full conversation with Cam without him drifting off. :D I thought I was an ADHD mess, he makes me look stable. :D

To S1 owners with S/C kits, how is the driveability of the 8 with this kit on it, are there concessions you have to make in exchange for big HP? Or is it a well mannered bolt on upgrade that is well behaved?

I have not done a lot of reading on ownership of these kits so I hope I am not flamed for asking.

Oh, I do, it was like a 3 ring circus trying to have a conversation with him, I love the guy, he is brilliant, but man, I now have a really good idea of what my poor wife has to deal with. I never finished a sentence, nor do I think anything I said to him was registered.
Sadly, I grew up like this as well and still have issues with ADHD and that cat is a text book example of it.

Which is most likely the reason he is so good at what he does. He is funny to be around, he makes me feel better about myself.

heres something interesting, it does clarify a little bit about the kit...

"Q: Will it work for my model RX8?
A: The Pettit Supercharger system is designed to work with both the 6 port 230 Hi Power and the 4 port 190 model RX8. To use with the 4 port simply put freeze plugs in the manifold's six port runners. These can be removed later for use with a six port if the need arises. Currently the R3 series 2 model is not supported, but we are working on R3 modifications."

that was taken from the pettit uk site, link here Pettit Racing | FAQs

It sucks that we have such a large ECU/EMS problem, i want to go FI, but i reallllly dont wanna do a turbo, so i wanted a supercharger. Hopefully something will come.......................

Marc

Edit: i know turblown has a nice kit and esmiril, but id rather have a supercharger..

Interesting - What is special about the R3 model's motor/tuning? I didn't know it varied from the S2 when it came to the engine? Thanks!

Think those FAQs are out of date. In all of my correspondences with Moon, not once did he mentioned that the S2 kit will not work on a R3.

Any update on this subject? I've had my R3 for nearly 3 years and am getting restless for more power. I even pictured myself in a Mustang the other day...I'm so ashamed of myself.

Thinking that when this car is finally jailbreaked, supercharging might be the way to go.

My two cents worth:

Flash.
Series one ECU's have had no issues and should be able to be flashed while S-2 uses the Adtronic box as a tune.

Blower.
The Kenne Bell 2.1 or possibly even the 2.6 are looking very likely to be choices/options for the blower itself.

The new blowers will get a new IC setup, that part is looking sweet.

I wish we saw some progress with this kit. I bought my car with cash in the bank to buy this kit 2 years ago, and it still isn't out. I am losing faith because the power bug is biting hard, and my r3 isn't doing it.

HELP!

thanks,
-josh
