These are Spirit R tails, and yeah, Gen II.

Ok. Thanks.

Of no use for my 07 RX.

I will never again buy a car with clear chromed tail lights.

Hate them.

Starting to hate Mazda. Using this ugly vhromed clear lense tail lights is like selling cars with 20 inch chromed wheels.

Only girls and people that know nothing about cars use such stuff

You can fix these tail lights go your S1. But you'll need the S2 rear bumper to have the lights sit flush.

Is it a plug and play tail lights replacement ? Perhaps the lamps to loom plugs are different

There are two red tail lamps, two stop lamps ( red), and I think one of the clear dots is reverse, the other a signal lamp.

The older model has one red tail lamp and hence one stop lamp. One signal and one back up lamp. 3 versus four.

I'm not sure about the wiring but you'll need to cut around the nut points to make it fit properly. It's not too hard apparently.

I really like the Sprit-R headlights and tail lights over the R3 ones. Never really been a fan of chrome on a sports car.

You can bake open the headlights and paint them black buddy. Way cheaper than buying Spirit R lights. I painted my Spirit R headlights all black. Looks dope.

Yeah was definitely one of my options going forward lol. I'm wondering if I could do the same with the taillights too. I definitely dont want to pay over $4000 for headlights and taillights. I would rather that go towards performance modifications.

taillights you can replicate by opening and painting them (requires cutting the housings) and you'd be better off just opening and painting the headlights as well, shouldn't cost more than maybe $40 to DIY

Oh ok, you're right I just looked it up, but it doesn't give a paint code for them though

It's just a sticker. Maybe something like goo gone or WD40?

Pretty sure they're badges, not decals. Use a piece of dental floss to separate the badge from the paint and then clean up whatever is left with an appropriate solvent/cleaner.

Yea, It's a flimsy aluminum can thickness (or thinner) badge with a sticky back. I've got a couple at home that were sent to me with my carbon fender vents... They'll never go on my car.
