Unless it was carbon fiber are you really complaining on the price on a knock off Mazdaspeed wing.

No, not complaining just wondering, still shopping around. Im not the type of person to jump on something I want right away without checking out and shopping around.

I also took the time to drill holes in the fiberglass bracing on the underside of the carbon fiber (being careful not to get into the CF itself) so that i could mount the factory carpet panel so that it made a nice clean installation with none of the wiring harness showing other than what shows on the stock deck lid.
Some questions, im also planning on going cf wing,

How was the fitment?
Ive never seen anyone with a 40AE with mazdaspeed parts so finding a used painted set is not going to happen, i was thinking if the fitment is pretty good then i could always get the cf and either add a cf trunk or paint over the cf.

Where did you get your cf trunk?

Does your spoiler mount up to the factory spoiler holes?
I have a S1, so my holes MAY be different than yours.

I didnt have a problem with the fitment on my spoiler, and it's been so long now that I don't really remember where I bought it from with. As far as lining up with stock spoiler holes, I don't know. I never took my factory spoiler off. I bought the cf trunk lid and spoiler at the same time and put them on together at the same time.

Thanks for the reply, do you think it would look out of place being the only CF thing on my car??

to give you an idea of the color...

it probably wouldn't really look out of place. Hell, from a distance most people would probably think it's just light playing with their eyes to tell whether or not is body color. IIRC there have been galaxy grey members on here (series I owners) that have used a carbon fiber spoiler/wing on their stock trunk lid.

Paint the lower lip the same color as your car and leave the wing CF.

Another cool option would be to add a touch of the body color to the clear and then spray the CF wing. As you walk towards the car you will start to see the CF pop through.

I like how you think I was thinking about painting the lower lip part too. Though thats gonna start racking the bill up. I dont know, i may just save it for FD parts

Just installed mine.. Make sure you measure. Re measure and punch pilot holes. Then slowly increase drill bits it was ridiculously easy... And carbon Fiber looks great on SBM.

After the bolts line the underside with 3M double sided tape I'm making a DIY as we speak lol.
