Short Throw Shifters (SI vs SII)

Is it safe to assume that short throw shifters designed for the series I will work with the series II, or is the geometry substantially different?

I'm considering an Axial Flow short shifter, although I would like to hear feedback from different short throw shifter owners.

Whole different tranny. Get a voodoo ****, it will sit lower thereby decreasing the throw. That's about the only way right now

I would try a short shifter for the NC Miata. That might work.

The afe guys were working on a s2 shifter the last time I talked to them. They just recently moved to another facility and had been working on their s2 prototype. I would check the thread on the forums that Richard has

Miata short shifter will not work! I tried that a year ago. I am waiting for axial flow to design one that will function. They had difficulty with their first attempt at a prototype
