Hello,

I recently purchased a RE-Amemiya Carbon Super Intake and wanted to post my install here for those in the future. I chose this intake mainly because it retains the OEM VFAD solenoid. Install requires the removal of the OEM intake undertray as well. You will have to cap off one end of the VFAD solenoid. I posted the pictures in the order of the install, if anyone has any questions please feel free to ask!

***Their instruction manual was not very detailed and hardware left much to be desired. I had to supply my own silicone cap and spring clamps***






Inlet tube is 6\"

Outlet tube is 3.5"

Air filter inlet is 6\"

Air filter height is about 5.25\"



RE-Amemiya uses an oiled filter element like K&N

Once the OEM intake box and undertray is removed, you will have to cap off this metal line along with the following one on the VFAD solenoid


This line will not be needed and can be stored in the parts bin

Remove the VFAD mounting hardware from the OEM box, the RE-Amemiya kit comes with new screws (bolts) so you can put the OEM ones away

The neat thing about the RE-Amemiya box is it lines up with the OEM intake funnel (nice knowing it's drawing in cold air)

Install the carbon box FIRST, it will use the 2 OEM 10mm bolts on the bottom and 2 OEM 10mm nuts on the front towards the radiator support. Once those are nice and tight, you can install the VFAD brackets SECOND (please refer to next picture), and intake tube LAST

VFAD stuff goes on BEFORE the intake tube. The zip tie provided in the kit is for zip tying the wiring loom to the bracket holding the VFAD

Tighten the bolts/nuts on the intake tube to the box, once that is complete you can tighten the clamp on the OEM accordion hose onto the intake tube

Induction noise is quite a bit louder than stock

I do however want to point out the quality of this brand new part is sub-par, the carbon fiber has some haze and the gel coat under the box had some spider cracks that according to RE-Amemiya is very normal

This kit does NOT require the use of the OEM mesh screens. I asked RE-Amemiya who confirmed their kit does NOT need them. After driving around for half an hour I can confirm my idle is still around 800 RPM, it does NOT hunt and remains stable, no issues with randomly stalling
