ZR+ or FN01R-C Hot Version

Decided on 5zigen, but not sure on which one. I'd like a 17x9, but they don't have that at discouttiredirect, which I need to order to get it here without crazy shipping costs ASAP (their warehouse is in Phoenix where I'm located, so I should get it the next day with ground). The 18x9.5 is a bit heavy, so probably 18x8.5. For a TG.

They have 17x9 in both those wheels.

Hmm, just looked at the weights, and ZR+ is too heavy. Looks like 17/8 or 18/8.5 FN01R-C. I'm not lowered, and don't want to adjust the fenders to fit. What's the most flush offset for either size?

Oh, thanks, that's fantastic! They just didn't have that size listed for the RX-8.
Will a 17x9 fit okay on an unaltered 8?

What offset do I want to be flush, 35? What is a good tire size for the 17x9?

Any opinions on color for a TG? I'm looking at either powder coat black with red stripe, or powder coat black with polished lip.

Okay, so red stripe is special order. I'm going with the black/polished lip. They have the 17x9 in 15, 35, and 43.

Is 10" too wide w/o altering the fender, or undesirable for other reasons? They have that in black red stripe as 12 or 25.

if you don't want fitment issues I'd go with 17x9 +35

I'm in no way a wheel guru so take my advice as you please...seems like your dying for an answer though lol.

Heh, yeah. I'm trying to get the order in so they have time to mount and balance before close today in less than 2 hours so it's ready to go for shipping first thing Monday morning. Thanks, I found a thread showing the +35 and it looks good.

discouttiredirect adds a $45 install kit (they say the oem lug nuts won't fit aftermarket wheels) is that true?

they probably include hubcentric rings and lugs; which you need
oem lugs won't work on that style rim

Get aftermarket muteki lugs for $50 and they can be black to match the wheels. Polished lip isn't my style, but it is totally up to you. Not lowering your car is a terrible choice btw. Takes the car to a completely different level style wise. Hubcentric rings aren't really necessary, but can be helpful. I don't have them and have no problem.
