Thumbs up Zeal FunctionX Coilovers

Install:
The install took (4) hours due to complexities with the rears. Not much room for the extended cable adjuster. I had to call Auto RnD and conference with the guys at Speedware to get it right. We managed, but it was a tight fit. I lowered the car to about 25" front and 25-1/2" rear.

Corner Balanced:
I spent the $100 to get the car corner balanced with 205 lbs of weights where I normally sit. We had about a two hour window for the car to settle. Total car weight was 3248 lbs. I need to work on this I can see. This is a must if you lower the car!

Alignment:

Set it up for performance street conditions. Nice dry pavement camber. Front & Rear at -2.0 Camber.

First Impressions:

Well, all I can tell you that these coilovers are awesome! I have already put 200 miles on them in two days. I have them set full soft for now until I start to tune what works best for hardness. They are killer in the corners.

A few Pics:
Sorry, the car is dirty from rain and the road.

On full soft, the ride feels pretty close to the MS setup I had before, except the rebound is better, and the balance it spot on perfect. The Zeals are just amazing, there are no words to explain it, you need to drive my car. I feel better conected to the pavement...

Why don't you get pictutres with the car on level pavement?

How do expect us to make a judgement?

That would help.

Thanks

Yep - I was at 26-1/2" with the Mazdaspeed Springs and Shocks. Going any lower on the Zeals would create alignment concerns. If I get a new MS front, I might have a snow plow for the Winter snow

I was at about that height this spring....It drove me crazy...I was hitting everthing bigger than a marble I compromised at 26"....I don't sem to hit a much now and it is still low enough to look good.

You are right about the snow plow.......That's why I go back to OEM shocks and springs in the winter.........

I just realized that since I moved to the Harbor out by the Ocean - I don't have to deal with snow anymore.

I keep looking everywhere I normally drive for low spots to avoid

The worst are driveways...into malls and gas stations

And speed bumps/ mountains...I don't know what they think they are trying to slow down....even a Hummer will bottom out on some of them
