Winter Tires and TPMS Problems (Not)
Ok, Just took off my 18" rims and summer tires. Replaced them with My tire and rim package from TireRack without TPMS. Well, you wouldn't know that they weren't installed(TPMS). I get no indication that I no longer have any TPMS's on my new rims and winter tires. I thought we were suppose to get a warning signal and a flash indicating that something was not right with the TPMS. Well, It seems the receiving unit on my RX-8 could careless.
I am quit pleased not having any warning lights, but does this mean my TPMS system does not work correctly???
Oh, got the Bridgestone Blizzak LM-22 with the Kazera KZ-V silver rims. I think I will be like the bear pavement handling. Can't wait until the first chance to test in the snow and Ice. Next week or two is my educated guess.

actually I just got the LM22 put on the stock 18 rims...they drive great on dry pavement...as I've read you get what you pay for...works with the tpms monitors since it is stock
but as for your problem...weird that's all I got to say

Flashing TPMS
After putting on my winter wheels (no TPMS) the light didn't come on until after about 30 miles of driving. Then it was a steady flash. Anyone know if the warning can be dis-abled until the stock wheels go back on this spring?
Those TPMS modules are pains in the ****. I had a couple wheels from TR that were leaking from the valves due to these little bastards. I wish we could do without them.
TR was gracious enough to help me replace these leaking wheels. After a long winded customer satisfaction situation of course
But yes, they will come on eventually..

takes about 15 min
After the car is on 15 min, my warning light will start to flash. Guess I will just have to deal with this until winter. I called a couple dealerships and they said there is no way to turn this off.
The dealerships are useless...there is a way to disable the TPMS light
use this guide...personally I would add a basic toggle switch to this in the glove compartment or elsewhere that way when you put the stock rims w/tpms your good to go

I put my winter tires on around Thanksgiving and it took 15-20 mins until the TPMS started blinking. The amount of time decreased to about 5 mins until this week and now it beeps 3 times and the light stays on steady when I start the car. Only a month to go till I can put the summers back on (I hope).
