Will EVO VIII Brembos fit on the RX-8?

I have a friend who is trying to get rid of his brembo brakes that come stock on an EVO. I was wondering if it is possible to somehow fit this big brake kit on the RX-8? If anyone can chime in and give some input as to whether they would fit, let me know. Thanks.

With enough time and money yes. You better know what you are doing if you paln on making brackets to bolt them on.

Why not call Brembo, or email then for info. If anyone would know I would like to think they would.

I would have to think that they could easly cross reference part numbers to see if they would work on your application.

Hi

brembo center size : 69 mm
rx8 size : 72 mm

for both : 114,3

so you just need to "enlarge the brembo rotor and it will fit on the rx8 perfectly

but ...

you can not put the standard caliper ... to small

I'm actually monting thoses rotors with brembo caliper (doing the adaptation actually)

I will probably sell some kit after .. if good results and some guy interessed ...

the big advantage : you're in 32 mm large versus 24 mm
no problem on track ...

our stock brakes are awesome, so unless youre just going for that attractive brembo painted caliper, i dont think it would really be much of an upgrade, if not a 'downgrade'.

i agree with you zaglo, the stock brakes are excellent. The only thing that would probably be needed to change would be the pads.

yeah. agree. rx 80-0 =194 feets better than S2000, EVOs, and even the great lutos elise.
interesting fact isn't it.
so i wouldn't borther with the break system except the pads.

yes for ... normal use

I kill my rotors (veil) on tracks : overheat and the space : 24mm is to small so ... overheat and veil

we are 6 to have the same problem doing track.

I agree rx8 braking is perfect

I'm only looking for bigger disk (larger) to not have overheat and track and be afraid to kill the rotors.
