Will 17" work on my 07?

I'm looking forward to the future when I purchase snow tires, and I'm just wondering what is the smallest rim I can fit on? Will 17s work okay? I have a lead on an awesome price for 225/45/17 snow tires, which would make it worth buying some rims to mount them on

Thanks!

17s will work fine. actually there are a good number of members on this forum who have 17'' on their 8s for snow tires/rims.

also keep in mind that the 8's with automatic transmission come with 16'' rims.

Yes MOST 17s will fit. I use lightweight 17s all year round and they clear the brakes just fine.

I, too, have wondered about this due to the lower cost of smaller rubber. What are the pluses and minuses of smaller rims/tires?
Thanks,
Jeffrey

With 17s there is a VERY noticeable increase in acceleration especially since mine are 14 lbs each.

Mine are only 7" wide which is not wide enough for this car even with 225/45/17 falken azenis rt-615 tires. 17x9 would be better.

I know there is a diff in speedo/odo readings because the overall tire diameter is less but I could care less about that.

Oh and if you are not lowered, wheel gap will probabaly look hideous or you will have some pretty fat tires.
