I the only reason i bought the nf210s was cause they offered a mild drop and have just above stock spring rates. You never want to drop too much without stiffer springs, and you don't want to get too stiff of springs on stock struts. So if you are running stock struts i would recommend the NFs. I personally don't like springs in general. But it was temporary. Until coilovers. I just didn't like my car looking like a monster truck.

The problem is that each different shock is valved to match for a determined range of spring rates (car weight, handling etc all play a role in valving, too) so that's where the problems arise if you go too stiff, soft, high or low.
