Wheels worth it?

besides the look on the wheels, i am looking to gain some performance from new a new rim/tire package.

i am kinda new at the whole tuning thing, so:

how heavy are the sport (16" - i think) rims?
can i upgrade to 17" with no problems?
lighter is obviously better, but will i feel an extra pull?

any info is much appreciated.

Ron

im assuming you have an automatic. most people wont feel a difference in acceleration with lighter wheels that arent used to feeling the difference between light and heavy wheels. heck, you could even go 19s without any problems, 17s and 18s no problems at all!

from my knowledge, tenzos are not good. it will be easier and quicker for the both of us if you use the search tool. if you have any questions after most people will answer, it is just obvious you took no time to search for yourself.

I went with wheels 2 lbs. lighter than stock and didn't notice much in acceleration, but I did notice better braking.

Is it worth it? Probably not, but it's all about what your really want to do to customize your car.

Dont worry about trying to free up power with wheels. you would need some super light weight wheels to feel any sort of difference. as said before, braking, steering responce and acceleration are minutley affected; and for street purposes, looks are the largest gain in performance

if you want looks, you gotta go with some 19's. 17's will look too small.
