wheels

so i went to a tire shop and talked with one of the guys and he told me that im better off with 20s then 19s because 19s are harder to find and more expensive also i couldnt be as picky.

so if i was to buy 20s would the car ride the right way.

i drive my car pretty much everyday so i need to know if 20s would work out for me or would they be nothing but trouble.

stick with 18s. I think 20's are too big for the 8.

Avoid that tire shop because that is poor advice. Stay with 18" wheels if you have concerns about 19" tires. FWIW many here (including me) run 19" and do not have issues buying tires.

ya thanks

ive been looking for rims for a while now and im getting tired of it.
its not that easy especially because im real picky when it comes to wheels.

if anyone can help, im looking for a 19" staggered set of wheels such as the axis supermesh i really like those but there discontinued and really hard to find and i was wondering if there were any rims that look close to those

2(19"x 8.5)
2(19"x 9.5)

either those in machine polished silver or black

i think 20's would look too obnoxious imo. try looking at vividracing, Hop up racing, or even keep a eye on the for sale thread.

18's... i would be worried about bending 19's on a bump or something.

but if you want to go bigger, get 19's NOT 20's

i know exactly what your talking about, have had a couple of shops tell me that 20's are the better idea, i think it just because for your money its not much more, 19" wheels are more rare and cost a little more but still not as much as 20". Also i dunno bout you, but the shops i talked to had the monte carlos, and durangos sittin in the front with 26" wheels. i decided to go with the 19"s after talking to numerous people on here. It looks like you already decided to go with the 19s just thought i would add to your topic.

19's are the absolute best fit on the 8. 18's are too small IMHO(unless you track often) and 20's are just gay (no offense Zumn )

Tell that wheel guy to F*** off, he has no idea what he's talking about

18's or 19's are your best bet.
You can do a staggered setup but be prepared to throw off the handling a bit.

i would have rather gotten 19's then 18s. but i noticed tires are about 100 a piece more expensive for that extra inch. just not worth it to me for how often i buy tires
