ah I see... so they save weight by swapping the heavy cast iron part that isn't really used to do braking with something lighter eh...
at first I thought you guys were talking about this from Delphi:

"Delphi is developing a two disc per wheel braking system called the "Maximum Torque Brake". It replaces the single disc of conventional brakes with two discs, giving four contact surfaces instead of two. The result is up to 1.7 times the torque output of a conventional single disc system of the same effective diameter in a more compact and more efficiently cooled configuration."

You fellas want LIGHT!! I checked out the Racing Hart CP-F tune R at F1 motorsports last week. That SUCKA is LIGHT and comes in a Gun Metallic that actually looks like BLACK CHROME.
