Wheel Spacers
I see there are wheel spacers from FEED that are 18mm fronts 23mm rears...
But they cost approx. 500 after shipping and such so i dont think its really worth it...
then i stumble across H&R's website and see their spacers which are significantly cheaper..... probably 200 for the whole set....
I have NO knowledge of offset, spacers.. blah blah blah...
So can anyone help me out and see which wheel spacers from H&R will fit the 8?
I have 18x8 buddyclub wheels with a +45 offset and im looking for a setup like FEED has.... with the rear being abit wider.
All help is appreciated.
Thanks

BIU,
To my knowledge H&R is not finished with their RX-8 spacers yet. I asked them about 3 months ago and they sounded like they were just starting to explore the option of the RX-8.
The FEED seem to be the only ones available at the moment but with your +45mm 8" wide wheels (5mm out further than stock) you are likely going to rub in the front or rear. (The FEED spacers take the stock wheel all the way out the very edge of the wheel well)
Here is what I would do and I think you will have almost no fender gap:
Mazdatrix sells hub-concentric 6.5mm spacers for their big brake kit. I would get a set of those spacers and put them on the rear. I would also use 245/40-18 tires on your 8" rims.
Versus stock you will have +5mm due to the rims you already have, +6.5mm for the mazdatrix spacer (use in rear only), and +10mm due to the wider tire. So in the rear you will be out +21.5 mm (7/8") further and in the front you will be out +15mm (3/5") further (no spacer).
All of this will be without any rubbing and you will retain your tire rotation ability. You will also have better agressive looks IMO and better performance depending on which 245/40 you go with.

Thanks for every bit of your 2 cents... appreciate it!
now i think i need a week to read over your post about 500 times and try to digest what you just told me....lol i have no idea what it means
Now is there another way where i can do this without buying new tires?
will the Mazdatrix spacers only in the rear work?

OK, I also tried searching for wheel spacers, to no avail. But for a totally diferent reason. I autox my car as stock and the rules allow a .25 inch spacer. Doing all four corners will move the width an extra half an inch. It's not much but everything counts. I'm currently driving stock 225-45/18 and plan on changing to 245-40/18 this week, to gain the almost one inch tire width. I believe the extra 1/2 inch distance will also help marginally. Can I just palce a .25 washer behind the wheel on each lug bolt?

i have decided to get a pair of MazdaTrix's 6.5mm spacers to slap on the rear..
so along with my +45 offset Buddyclub wheels i will have an extra 5mm up front and an extra 11.5 in the rear..
that'd be enough to make a little improvement looks wise i guess...

Been running for 10K miles with 3mm spacers on all 4 corners, doesn't affect the handling at all.
Had to put them on as the inside curve of my rims was about 1mm from the brake calipers.

Not sure what the shipping to the US would be, but they are pretty light. About $5 a corner.
