Well I bought these great looking Nicci rims for my summer tires and the center hub hole is too small to fit over the center hub on the car....I'm planning on using staggered Pilot Sports 245 40 18 in the rear and 225 45 18 in the front. The new rims might be 8.5's. I have 2 options:
1. Has anyone mounted 1" spacers with lugs over the stock lugs? This would solve the center bore new rim clearance problem. What do you think?

2. Mount spacer disks, maybe 3/8 thick. Would I need new lugs?

I'm leaning toward option 1. I can't return the rims and don't want to wait until I buy another car that they can fit. Any thoughts?
