wheel lock socket broke!

this is the second time this has happened and I'm tired of buying new ones so i'm looking to buy an after market set any ideas as to which EBAY set I should get. Why buy a set for $200 when I can get a set for $50? seriously lightweight lugs give me a break is it really going to matter.

I love my Muteki SR48's. They are the longer lugs which makes it real easy to spin them off with your hands. I had problems with previous keys breaking. The key that comes with the SR48's is so thick and heavy, I doubt I could break it if I tried.

Do people still get rims stolen these days? I have been around here a while and do not recall seeing a thread about someone getting their wheels stolen. I have seen many about broken or lost wheel keys. I took off the lock nuts back in 2004 to avoid issues like this.

There should seriously be a recall on those luck nuts. I broke mines last year and it was a pain in the *** to take off. 3 shops refused to do it since it broke laterally and the thought they might need to torch it off. I finally found a place that had the patience to apply a drill to it for an hour, then another hour to take off the stud since it was on the back wheel. The drill walked a couple of times and scratched to hell out my rim but I'm just glad to save it.

I've gotten titanium lock nuts and haven't worried about it ever since.

I'm garaged so theft is not a concern. It's about not buying new lugs every year because I bought a cheap set from ebay and they look like crap or everytime I take the luggs off I scratch the wheel because I bought a cheap set. I try to take the wheels off everytime I give her a bath and get all that road goo off that most leave it's an eye sore to me and there's nothing worse than looking at a clean car with grime on the inner rim

21mm socket pound it on "A LITTLE", like 1/8th on. Impact gun it off. You can use a propane torch to help heat it up, will come off easier. I had to do this when my key lug magically grew legs and walked off when I was putting my springs on.
