What's the most popular 19" tire size?
Time for new shoes and I am debating upgrading my OEM tires to 245/40/18 or going up to 19 but am not sure what a good standard tire size for 19s are. I've looked through the threads and it seems the 245/40/18 is pretty commonly talked about but I can't seem to find much info on a good 19 size.
Secondly, I'll also be upgrading to Enkei RP03 rims---what's the typical rim width I should be getting with 245/40/18 and/or the 19 size?
For reference, I used to run a few track days but now that I have a small child and time is precious, I am going for looks right now over performance.
Thanks in advance!

popular set up:
19x8.5 = 245/35
19x9.5 = 275/30
Tirerack recommends different sizing that will be closer to stock diameter, but those sizes are hard to find and consequently pricey.

i use 245/35/19
i think my rims are 19x8.0 on all four (I like being able to rotate my tires)
the tire size is close, but not exact, i think my odo has a few hundred miles extra because of this setup.

I found a screaming deal on eBay for (4) Goodyear F1 GS-DS 245/40/18 ($150 cheaper than tirerack) so that made the decision for me. Now that I have a wider tire should the new rims be wider than the OEM 8"? I undertand weight will increase if I increase the width of the rims but is there any advantage with a wider rim than 8"?
