What size rims should i get?
I post a thread recently about what color rims i wanted and i also wanted 19". My friends are giving me alot of crap about the size, They tell me to go with the 18"s because there cheaper in the long run because of tires. Do you think the 18"s would look like crap? I feel like there too small what do you guys think? thanks
It really depends if you're going for [bling] aesthetics or performance. It also depends on the quality of road surfaces in your area. The wheels/tires are an integral component of your suspension system. Larger rims demand lower profile tires which in turn don't have the shock absorption of smaller diameter rims with taller sidewall profiles. There is also a point at which filling up the wells with wheel is just too much visually. 18" rims with 225x45 tires were Mazda selected for a reason.
But only you can decide what you like, from both an aesthetics and performance point of view, and that's all that matters.

Huey stock size is actually 225/45 but I know you knew that
I have both 18's and 19's and the 18's are for track use while the 19's are for DDing. The car actually looks pretty good with both. If you do get 19's, dont go with some unkown brand (due to quality). If you hit a pothole the wrong way BAMMMMM cracked rim

Whoops, I must have had the ubiquitous 245x40x18 upgrade in mind.

just kidding zumn
The BB has 19" and the other two 18". I thought this picture was a good representation that style of wheel plays a role in how big it looks.
