I've searched the forums here and googled till my fingers hurt, and can not find a single vendor or even hint of a vendor of sintered brake linings for the RX-8. Do they exist? If so, who makes them? Where are they sold? Has anyone tried them?

I'm asking after reading a discussion on another site about the pros and cons of various brake lining materials and it seems to me that sintered linings would give me the best combination of what I, personally, am looking for in brake linings.

 

Read the brake FAQ https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-wheels-tires-brakes-suspension-55/brake-faq-167264/ and check out Carbotech XP series, Cobalt XR series, or Hawk DTC series pads. The guys at Rolex, ALMS, and many other series use one of the three above.

 

The best way to accomplish this would be to do a Racing Brake BBK, and get some Project MU Sintered Brake Pads.

The Pads are $450 for a front set.
