What to do if I don't have adjustable camber plates on my coilovers?
What to do if I don't have adjustable camber plates on my coilovers?
It's currently running on crazy negative camber (i think i have like at least 5 degrees camber), i tried searching and know that we can mess around with the stock suspension, but i don't think that'd do with mine.
I tried google for a RX-8 camber kit, and no luck so far. Anyone who has this experience and glad to share for a bit?
Thanks

You want MORE than -5 camber? WTF? Why add camber plates when you can adjust the camber the normal way.
and more than -2 is just for show. It shows you are an idiot.

Speedsource GT cars are running 3 degrees with racing tires (it was said in passing during the race broadcast this weekend). I don't think you can generate enough grip to require 5.
The RX8 doesn't have a McPherson strut suspension the uses camber plates. We have unequal wishbones that allow the camber changes. A camber plate would just move the top of the shock around.

he didn't say anything about wanting more negative camber
there are no camber plates for this car. how much of a drop did you do with the Hipermax RS? you should be able to adjust it down enough.

You are right. My bad.
I don't believe the ST class cars run anything more than that either. I was a while ago that I saw them, but I don't remember seeing any radical camber even with their Hoosier race rubber.
I have H&R springs and there wasn't any significant change in the front camber. The rears were a different matter. / \

Basically. Just a set of tools with a level and a protractor thingy. $100 or so. Toe is a little difficult, but is doable.
EDIT: I believe they were made by a co. called Fast Tracks. Really just a camber gauge, with some extra do-dads to set caster and toe. Again, You can only set total toe. But you can figure out the individual wheels with some iterations.

BTW to the OP, I'm running -1.8 in the rear and -1.6 up front with 1.5 inch drop the way around.

Well, I am not sure what the drop has to do with it. I might be 1" lower all around, but definitely as equal as Icould get it with me in the seat.
-1.5 camber front
-2.0 camber rear
6.8 castor front (no need to mess with this.)
0.09 Toe front
0.15 toe rear

-2.0 camber rear

0.09 Toe front
0.15 toe rear
