Variable Force Balancing? (or other high end wheel balancing)

A friend told me about a local tire installer that has a high end machine that balances the tire under pressure from a roller. ABout $50 a tire or so, and they claim to do a lot of high end cars.

ANyone have any experience with similar systems, vs. just plain old $15 a tire balacing?
