My choice are the Tein Type Flex with EDFC or HKS Hypermax II ..
Need some opinion from the pros about both coilover or maybe there's other choice that i can go?

really have to change the coilover right away so need some urgent idea from pros and thanks so much guys ..

if money isn't a concern I suggest you look into zeal function-x. They're not cheap but they supposedly makes the highest quality coilovers over all. But at a cost of $2,500 usd.

both are high end coilovers, but you need to find out from your supplier on the after sale services. which ones are easier to get serviced if need be.
the EDFC gives you the luxury of adjusting the rate inside the cabin.
i'd go with tein myself.
what are both prices anyway?

im usin 20" and i cant even put any finger inside already.. its ok when straight but when comes holes or somthin the tires will hit the plastic..

i didnt ask the price for the HKS hypermax II but the tein type flex with the edfc some shop quote me for AU$3200 with installation.. thats the lowest price i can get so far.. =/

doesnt sound too bad, does it inc. wheel alignment too?
i think from memory, the EDFC control costs about aus$700 alone (cant remember the currency rate)

thought about it again while i was at woolies lining up for my mint choc ice cream...... :D :D :D (they never have enough check out chicks/pimple faced boys on sunday nights )

if rubbing the plastic with the rubbers are your concern, than i dont think coilover will achieve much.

most ppl have coilovers to get better handling as well as closing that ugly gap between the arches and tyres :p

you will most likely having it adjusted to the same level (ie. height) as your apexi springs (progressive rated i hope), then the platic/rubber will rub again.
maybe playing with the camber setting, but then again your inner tyres will waer out quicker.

had a quick look at your setup, it isnt as low as mine..... so what size tyres do you have?

Get a custom made Bilstein William...

It is custom made to your RX-8 with no low quality stuff used.

$6,000 drive away (or 5,800 as I quoted last)

Kraize... as I told you. As EZZY said.

You can get some crazy chamber angle with an aftermarket chamber set. But you can make a car go low with a large wheel with less +ve offsets.

I think just have that car rise up a little bit.

Yes you can have any aftermarket coilover and set a hard damper rating and rise up and down and see if it rubs.

I wonder if one of the stud on the plastic guard gone missing or something

You see it will not flip down if it does since it is mould very studily, but when the car is moving - it may hit the wheel!

Just a thought

thx ezzy and taka for suggestion..

my main reason for gettin coilover are able to make my car go more lower and stabil.. what im planning to do is takin off the plastic that makes my tire keep rubbin and im goin to hide the tire inside the fender.. so i hope with the hardest setting of the coilover it wont damage anything inside.. if i still use the spring i afraid it will be too soft and will hit anything inside..

ive tried to ask about the chamber kit but it wont help much as in the tire will still rub with the plastic.. so i think i need to take off the plastic inside..
uhm ezzy have u tried take off that plastic before? and do u think the plan im goin to do will work ?

thx u so much .. :o

no, i didnt bother to remove the splash trays. it'd probably help in your case though. the plastic sections around the side indicator area has been rubbed through (yep, both side)

another question:
have you lipped the front/rear guards?

KRAIZE...

your car looks sick! Love your body kit. You should look into the HKS HIPERMAX II's. I've had them installed since February of this year. They have never given me any problems. Adjusting and fine tuning the suspension is very easy. The dampner settings are conveniently located right under the upper strut bar (for the fronts), and for the rears they have a remote dampner controller where you can mount right below your rear speaker or by the towers. They are 30 way adjustable. I have mine set at 24's in the front and 22's in the rear. Ride quality will not be scrificed because even at a setting of 26 in the front and 24 in the rear it feels very close to a stock setup.

Link to HIPERMAX II's:

You should also look into the getting the HIPERMAX RS. They were built specifically for the harsh road conditions we have here in the United States. Not only that but pricewise they run cheaper than the HIPERMAX II's

Link for HIPERMAX RS:

http://www.hksusa.com/products/more.asp?id=1991

Here is a link to FE3P's (board member) car. He has the HIPERMAX RS installed on his car.

https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...light=hipermax

Here is another link. It shows how low you can take your car down with the HIPERMAX installed.

If you have anymore questions feel free to PM me.

if you run your finger horzonitally under the wheel arch, you will feel a flat lip, roll it upwards towards inside will free up those extra room for wider wheel/tyre combo
that will give you extra few mm. of room to play with.

No **** that's rubbing...I just saw the pix of your ride. Very very nice dude, but takin' it to the extreme. I've got 245/40's in front with +30 offset....had the hipermax II's installed and lowered it, but to "one finger" setting else I'd be scraping like hell. I backed off on the damper settings and also had to roll the fenders to make the package work.
