Tokico Dspec

So I recently purchased tein s.tech lower springs and I was going to also purchase shocks before I put the springs so I can just do it all at once. I was looking at the TOKICO DSPEC ADJ. SHOCKS.. Has anyone used these? Or does anyone have some other shock absorbers that they recommend?

I have that exact set up. S-techs with the Tokicos. To be honest, for a daily driven car it's perfect, easy adjustability and a good investment. It's just not stiff enough for me

I love them. HPDE days just turn then to a stiffer setting, plus you can play with the difference between front and rear to get the oversteer or understeer if you prefer.

For the street the full still setting is WAY too harsh in my opinion. I use Racing Beat springs and Hotchkis bars front and rear. It's the best deal out there for not going to a fully adjustable coilover system.

^+1 I also had the same set up before getting coilovers. Don't forget the cables for the rear shocks.

I have the same suspension set-up as you! Just installed this weekend. How many turns do you use on all corners for daily driving? I tried 7 turns from full firm and I didn't like it at all Now on 5.5 turns from firm.. will play around some more!

I'm using three turns from full stiff which is a bit firmer than stock and perfect with the springs and sways for street use.

Thanks. I wish North Jersey roads were better so I wouldn't mind the higher damping rates. I'll try that setting soon though

The ride height is mandated by the spring you use. Adjusting the shock dampening will not effect ride height.

the only thing the struts do is allow you to control the dampening. If you're on the track you can adjust them to be super stiff and for DD they can be soft.

Only with coilovers can your raise/lower your car at will

I love the D-Specs. I also use 3 turns off full for the street. 4-5 turns is probably closer to stock. I've found 1.5 turns on the front and 1 on the rear keeps the car neutral on the track, but I have stock sways and springs.
