Tire/wheel thickness

I now have my winter package. 225-50-17 tire and a 17 x 7 wheel.
The tire is wider than the rim, and I think it looks great.
I would like my summer tires to have this look as well, so do I need to buy an 18 x7 rim or can I go to a 245/40/18 tire with the stock rim and get the same look?
I am confused as to if it is the narrower rim or manipulation of a higher treadwidth/lower aspect ratio.

You can go to this link to see what the different tire/rim size/ratios do compared to the stock config.
