Tire and wheel help
Just purchased an 04 8 and need to purchase new tires. I am planning on going with 245/40/18. I am also thinking about new wheels. I know the stocks have a 50mm offset and don't want to have any rubbing problem. Will an offset of 43 and higher be safe?

I am trying to stay as close as possible to the stock setting of the 6MT 8 and my tires are about to be changed... can anyone gives me an idea what effects will it have on the car if I were to change to 225/40/18 since in the market most tires manufacturer do not come with the 45 series.... also I might consider 235/40/18 hopefully it does not rob too much power from the car since I do not intend to have any power upgrade.

Effect: You'll accelerate slightly faster w/these (slightly less than above) smaller diameter tires and may handle sightly better (depending on the tires you go for).

because the eagle F1 does not come with 225/45/18 and the closest to stock I could get from them is 235/40/18 or else AD07 have the exact same size as per the stock RX8. Thanks for your reply. In that case I think I will probably give AD07 a go.
