THMotorsports - Stainless Brake Lines - Impressions

I picked these up from Adam at THmotorsports. He came highly recommended from a few locals, so I decided to check these out.

My mindset was this, I want some stainless brake lines, so why not try these out at a good value and you get to pick your color. I chose red to match the calipers I have. (save your rice comments, please)

The kit came with all hardware needed for the install so no original hardware needed to be reused except for a few to attach the brake lines to the control arms. All the fittings were nice and sturdy and felt really well made.

Installation went pretty well as a local pretty much did it for me. He tried to save as much brake fluid as he could, but still, its messy. No problems in installation really at all.

I autocrossed on these yesterday, and there is a very real different in pedal feel and braking power. I can remember standing on my brakes before and feeling the lines expand, even if it was a little bit. End result, more pressure it being applied to the brake pad instead of swelling the walls of your brake lines.
Its hard to describe how the pedal feel changed. Its like the pedal traveled down to where the brakes were engaged, and then the pedal didn't move anymore and it was all about pressure. I was really able to stand on these (not kidding, lifted my *** off the seat during an unplanned rotation of the car (spin out) and the pedal didn't get squishy.

Fluid transfer looks like they know what they're doing when they put these lines together. Plus it looks like they're actually made in the U.S... which I think is a good thing, but that means not JDM stickers.

Overall, I'm pleased and wanted to share this review of a new product offering. I looked at AP and a few others, but was nervous to buy these cause no one seemed to have an info on them... well, here ya go!

Are those 1-piece lines?

I just custom-made my own set this past weekend and it looks like we're using the same pieces except how you did the front brake lines.

I made mine into a 2-piece line for the front.

They're 1 piece lines... they slide though the bracket that's bolt on the upper A arm.

You have to be careful as to slack you leave in the wheel well area though or else it could rub...

But other than keeping an eye on that, you get the ease of one piece lines.
