Tein s-techs
Tein s-techs
Hey everyone, I was wondering how the s-techs would affect the comfort of the ride on the rx-8? I got a great deal off of this website: www.raceinpired.com
I have S-techs.
They are soft as ****. They ride as well as stock but I feel they handle worse (a little more understeer... even with more negative dialed in up front).
This is on stock struts though... I'm sure it'll improve dramatically when I get new/better struts.

I have S-techs and D-spec shocks. Handling is much improved (can't speak for those using stock shocks, but the common consensus is that aftermarket shocks should be used). Ride comfort, which is what the OP asked about, is sacrificed. But if you want a soft ride, lowering a sports car is probably the wrong route no matter what parts you use.
^^^ yup, same experience here.
I have S-Techs on my Koni adjustable struts. Any time you put lowering springs on a car, you will sacrifice ride comfort a bit as they will be stiffer. (by definition, they pretty have to be stiffer when you go lower) Are they so stiff that you'll hate them? Nope.
