Tein S-Tech Install Help!

Hey guys, I am in the middle of installing my springs. I already got the rear ones installed. I am now on the driver side front.

I am following these instructions....

https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.php?t=23403.html

I already removed the strut bar and the other 3, 14mm screws that were at the top under the hood. I have also removed the 17mm bolt at the bottom. But for some reason the strut is still in there really good and it wont budge.

The instructions say remove the two upper 14mm control arm bolts..... But I dont see them??

Help plz.

If you cannot get the fronts out you should stop now. Sounds to me like you are in over your head. Good luck with the rears.

Said he already did the rears if I'm reading correctly. Either way, good luck, hope it works out for you. It sounds like you had your questions answered

Ah, my bad. Missed that. Seriously though the rears are a lot harder, the fronts are simple.

Yea I heard that the rear ones were harder. Anyways I got the drivers front side one on.

Im on the passanger side one at the moment. Now the problem that I am having is that the main nut that hold the whole strut together wont screw in all the way in. Its like I eat the threads up or something which I know I didn't. I had the same problem with one of the rear ones so all I did is tell my friend to push down on the struts so that I could get under the nut with a small wrench. Then all I did is put pressure upwards on the wrench and with the 17mm socket I unscrew it from the strut.

(THE NUT I AM TALKING ABOUT IS THE ONE AT THE TOP OF THE STRUT THAT HOLDS EVERYTHING TOGETHER) (17MM NUT)

But for the front one, that wont work.... This is getting really frustrating. The nut wont screw in or out.... Should I put it on the car without it being screwed in all the way???

Thanks for the help on the driver side ones guys.

Will it not screw on, or is the shaft turning preventing it from screwing on?

Try and put an allen wrench on the top to hold the shaft still and turn the nut with a regular box wrench.

Its already on, but I cannot screw it in anymore. Its not stuck or anything, I can try to tighten it all I want, but it just keeps going and going but stays in the same place. Its endless lol.

Sorry I got back to this so late, forgot about the thread after I got home from work. Glad you got it all installed though. I figured once you realized what was happening my post would make sense.
