Hey bro... i don't know about these other guys..but i have the best placement (imho)... i don't have it for my RX-8 yet but i do have it on my 2004 Civic SI. this has been drooled over by many of my friends.. they think it looks stock where it is.. also how i have it makes it easy to take out and put back in if neccessary. just gotta know how to use an exacto knife. I will use this same positioning on the RX-8. hope these pics work!

this is the initial hookup of the edfc unit.. just to make sure it worked.. as you can see the dome light is out so we could test..

and this as you can see is the finished product.. just make sure when you cut..to take your time..and do NOT make the hole as big as the unit as this will ensure a snug fit making the use of any brackets to hold it non-essential. if you would like more info pm me. unless someone knew what they were looking for you wouldn't even notice it AND it looks stock AND it is easily reached and viewable to all in the car...making it very egolicious. I know it's not the clearest of pics but you get the point..i believe this is very possible on the 8 and it wouldn't use precious space on ur radio plates like others have done so you can use it for other things! hope you like..

Try registering with www.photobucket.com and use their services... they'll provide you with the img tags so all you have to do is copy and paste the link they provide.

Your photos aren't working, but I can guess from your description that you placed the EDFC up by the maplights? I would have loved to keep things stealthy, but the placement I chose gives people better visibility during shows such as SEMA, etc. I'm reserving the other stealthy spots for other equipment/gauges Looking forward to your installed pix.

edit: looks like you got your pics working... nice install! Unfortunately for sunroof owners like myself, the space analogous to your Civic install is occupied by the sunroof motor and switch wiring. It'll be a tight fit, but I just may have to relocate there... :D

Rob

One word of advice: Make sure you hook up the EDFC motors with the coilovers before installing the coilovers.
Wait what? The EDFC ONLY controls the damping. Ride height must be adjusted MANUALLY???

As far as Im concern I thought with the EDFC you can adjust the ride height by a press of a button. Correct me if Im wrong.

Sorry -- you're wrong. The ride height is adjusted manually, and only the damping by the computer (Electronic Damping Force Controller) (or it could be computer, I forget).

tein flex's are coilovers, not air ride or hydrolics, damping force means how stiff you want your ride to be.

Try calling www.impexusa.com. I usually buy parts from them, but not my teins, cuz I have connections and got the teins at cost price.
But impex usually gives me reasonable prices. :]

I think Rotary Extreme is having a special. Something like $1300 on the coilovers.

That is a good spot Scud...

The only thing is that it is green in colour and it spoils the red lights around.

I put it in the driver side of the centre pillar. Close to my left foot... I don't touch it when changing gear... and close to me when I want to change it at the pit lane
