tein basic problem question

i had gotten into an accident about 4 months ago and while the car was in the shop i asked them to install the tein basic coilovers that i had bought. well after i got the car back from the shop(3 months later) the car isnt the same. the installer asked me if i knew how the springs were supposed to be installed and i didnt know. he said the tighter springs should go in the rear and the softer ones in the front. is this correct? well ive been driving around for about a month now and on turn in the car feels slow. if i make s turns the traction control light comes on faster than it used to. im tryin to figure out if this is because the springs are reversed or could it be that im running 255 width tires all around? thx for the help

I don't think there is any combo that has the stiffer springs in the rear. I haven't used Tein Basics but the stiffer springs should definitely be in the FRONT. The guy who installed was wrong. I would either take it back to him and tell him to do it right or switch the springs yourself, it will definitely make a difference.

stiff in front, soft in rear. this is a grip setup, otherwise is drift.

have him swap them asap.

there should be an "F" printed on the front ones and a "R" printed on the rear ones, just like there springs have

all i remember the installer saying was that there were numbers on them and that he figured the higher number(i guess stiffer) goes in the back. i'm going to pull the suspension this weekend and check everything out and i'll look out for the F and R

the numbers i would imagine are merely the serial code for that product instead of the actual suspension load, but the F or the R will be next to those number
