suspension question
Hey im new to the rx8 scene, I just got my 05 rx8 about a month ago and im thinking about dropping it with D2 suspension. I was just wondering if anyone else has this suspension on their car and what they think of it or if there's anything better? Also what kind of wheel spacers should I get to limit the wheel gap? Thanks

Im basically looking for a comfortable on the street. And looking to spend around 900 to 1000. My friend has this suspension on his vw and it seems to ride pretty nice. I was just wondering if anyone had it on an rx8 to see their views on it. and i havent done anything yet, its still stock

I have never heard of the D2 (that doesn't mean its not good), but I do know that good coilovers for the 8 cost much more than 1000. If was going to spend 1000 on suspension (I just did this over the winter) I would go with struts and springs vice coilovers. If you are looking for a DD you can get sojme D-specs or Koni's and a some springs. There are many options for springs. search this section for the "springs, springs, springs" thread and you should have all the information you will need.
If you are dead set on coilovers, spend a little more and get GR+ (Stance).

yeah i don't think 1000 will get you coilovers for the 8.
i run tein s springs and koni struts. it's a GREAT combo of decent drop, stiff, hardly any body roll but still relatively comfortable as a daily drive (that's relative though).
solid is right...depending on install costs, you can get great springs and struts for under a grand.

i run s-techs and tokico d-specs. the latter's adjustability is what sold me. it is a wonderful combination. much flatter handling than stock, and the adjustability of the shocks allows for almost stock comfort with better handling characteristics. unless you're tracking the car, coilovers really don't make much sense...
