Looking for some RX-8 reviews on this tire. (245/40/18)
I'm looking for a cost-effective tire to finish up the summer/fall. I'll be entering 1 or 2 more autocross events then calling it a year.

I have had these for a couple hundred miles now. with 245's the grip is slightly better than stock. These things rock in the rain, the stock ones are scary.
Sometimes my car sits for a whole week and they flatspot, but it goes away after a fiew miles. great tire for the price. just dont expect the quietest best handling tire.
P.S they are not runflats. you might want a spare

Thanks for the reply. I've got an extra set of wheel/tires if I need them.
I was kind of worried about how they would handle in the rain. I was thinking about going with the stock sized General Tire Exclaim UHP's (only $99/tire) because I had them on my Eclipse and they actually performed really well. Particularly in the rain.
Anyone else?

They did seem to wear relatively quickly but you know there's gonna be downsides from a tire this inexpensive. I didn't rotate regularly enough and ended up learning how to handle a 360 in the middle of an intersection. No idea how the IIIs improved on the IIs.
