Stock Tires for 18 Rims...

How many miles can you expect to get out of the stock tires on the 18" wheels?? I am looking at a used RX-8 and it has 32,000 miles and has the original tires on it. Assume that the car was not driven like a race car. I'm talking best case scenario. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks

He said stock so it must mean the Dunlops or Bridgestones. How much wear are they showing after 32,000 miles? They could be original if it was run on straight-as-an-arrow highways with entrance/exit ramps being taken like a blind old lady.

I got 22k off a set of Dunlops, I've gotten 26k off of the Bridgestones. I should have replaced the bridgestones about 1k ago, as I'm right on the wear bars and I prefer a margin of error. (I've had two RX-8's, each with a different set of OEM tires, BTW).

Driving style matters, I prefer a more spirited style.

Either way, I'd say those are probably shot unless they have been replaced. I know mine need it and I'm no where near 32k!!

Got mine with 25K and Dunlops with >60% left. Little old lady? Church only? Tires in for a rude shock with me.

I got mine with the bridgestones and those tires barely lasted me 12000 miles without me ever pushing the car hard

My Bridgestone Potenzas lasted 19,500 miles. Mixed city / freeway driving with a bit of 'agressive' driving thrown in there from time to time.

they should last until they are down to the wear bars.

At 30K+ miles it is pretty much a given that you will be getting bald tires, so calculate that cost into the car purchase.

there are too many variables to say my tires will wear at the same rate as your tires or the tires on that car. the thing to do would be ask or measure how many 32nds are left on the tread. Thats the only real way of knowing how much longer the tires are good for.
